Field Trip: Rutgers Food Innovation Center
The Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) is a unique food business incubator that supports established early-stage entrepreneurs and existing food companies, from concept to commercialization. A team of food industry veterans offer expertise in business development, marketing, market research, R&D, food safety, manufacturing and sales. Attendees will tour the FIC with Julie Elmer (Associate Director of Food Technology), engage in moderated discussion about opportunities to create value-added products on a range of scales, and enjoy informal networking over lunch.
Space is limited! Registration is required for this field trip and there is a $15 registration fee. Attendees may self-transport, take a chartered bus leaving from the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick, or carpool with a project team member from Cape May County.
This field trip is part of the Networks to Reduce Risk: Building Viable NJ Farms program which is designed to improve risk management strategies for urban and rural farm business owners by connecting them with interactive educational opportunities, practical resources, and each other.
