Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Social Wellness

Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold a meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. 

Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II for Cape May County, oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program that meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.

November’s topic will be Social Wellness and will include a special game night for grandparents and grandchildren.

New families are always welcome at the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren caregiver wellness group. The program is specifically designed for grandparents or relatives who have full-time responsibility for raising their grandchildren or kin.

Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren, and a light supper will be served at 5pm with the program following at 5:30pm. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required.
