Growing Tree Fruits and Table Grapes in the Home Garden
Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the workshop, “Growing Tree Fruits and Table Grapes in the Home Garden,” on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
This workshop is part of the 2025 Garden & Grow series. The goal of the series is to teach locals how to improve or expand their home gardens in new ways.
The presenter will be Hemant Gohil, Agriculture and Natural Resources County Agent II, Gloucester County, RCE. Participants will learn cultural practices for growing peaches, apples, and table grapes in New Jersey, common problems faced by the home orchardists in growing tree fruits, and peach and table grape varieties suited to NJ climate. Hemant currently serves the wine grape, fruit, and nursery industries in southern New Jersey.
