If you’ve ever wondered about the quirky, fascinating, and unexpected corners of horticulture, the Let’s Grow Your Mind education series is for you! From plant folklore and pollinator behavior to soil secrets and botanical oddities, these sessions are as entertaining as they are enlightening.  Whether you're a seasoned grower or just plant-curious, come feed your mind and grow your garden know-how in ways you never expected!

Why Winter Sow?

One of the simplest, most budget‑friendly ways to start seeds:  no grow lights, heat mats, or indoor space required. By harnessing natural winter conditions, this method stratifies seeds outdoors and produces tough, garden‑ready seedlings with minimal effort.  In this beginner‑friendly class, you’ll learn how to choose the right seeds, prepare containers, and create outdoor mini‑greenhouses that make the most of freeze–thaw cycles. We’ll explore how to care for your winter‑sown containers throughout the season, including moisture management, placement, and when to transplant your seedlings.
