Designing a theme garden may look effortless on social media, but truly successful gardens begin with thoughtful planning and a clear creative vision. In this five‑session course, you’ll learn how to transform an ordinary landscape area into a cohesive, expressive garden built around a theme you love. We’ll start with the fundamentals—site assessment, layout strategies, plant selection, and design principles that help any garden thrive. From there, we’ll explore a wide range of popular and emerging garden themes. You’ll discover what makes a theme garden cohesive, and how to bring more unusual concepts to life through color, texture, structure, and storytelling. During the first session, you’ll also have the chance to request a special theme. If it’s feasible, we’ll add it to our lineup so the course reflects your interests and sparks your creativity. By the end, you’ll walk away with a personalized plan and the confidence to bring your own theme garden from idea to installation.
