Food, Nutrition, and Health
Understanding the relationship among our lifestyle, food--what we eat and where it comes from--and even our finances is a key component of good health. Cooperative Extension, a unit of Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES), addresses diverse unmet issues of nutrition and health, from teaching our most vulnerable residents about healthy eating on a budget, to programs that promote health and reduce the risk of chronic disease, to promoting the benefits of exercise. By bringing the best in research and education to respond to the urgent and growing challenges to nutrition and human health, NJAES programs guide New Jersey residents to better health and wealth.
