Golf & Fine Turf Field Day

Rutgers faculty and graduates will provide updates on the field research being done at Hort Farm 2. Studies to be discussed include the newest creeping bentgrasses; best management practices for golf course putting greens, fairways, and roughs; strategies for the use of silicon and fungicides in pest management; and management to prevent blue-green algae outbreaks on putting greens. Pesticide and ProFACT recertification credits will be offered at the end of the event. Optional core (pesticide) training will be offered at 8 a.m.. Optional training (10 a.m.) and certification exam (12 p.m.) for the professional fertilizer applicator certification and training (ProFACT) program will be offered in Spanish.
