Learn About Vermicomposting at Rutgers Cooperative Extension
Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will hold the workshop Vermicomposting, Composting with Worms, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 6 to 8pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
The presenter will be Belinda Chester, Consumer Horticulture Program Associate I; Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County. Participants of Vermicomposting, Composting with Worms, part of the Garden & Grow workshop series, will learn indoor composting methods, vermicomposting, and how to build their own mini-worm bin, with worms. Participants will also take home a compost/soil thermometer and a DIY worm bin.
This is a beginner class; therefore, no experience is needed, however, the class is limited to 15 participants. The cost to attend is $25. Pre-register and pay at https://go.rutgers.edu/x6rc7czf.
