Michele Bakacs

Michele Bakacs joined Rutgers Cooperative Extension in 2009 as a County Agent/Associate Professor serving Middlesex and Union Counties. She specializes in thinking way too much about plants and is grateful to do so. Michele focuses on natural resource management and provides research-based education and assistance in the areas of invasive plant management, native plants, habitat conservation, sustainable landscaping, and water quality protection. Her favorite part of her job is being surrounded by dedicated volunteers and colleagues working together to protect the environment. Michele loves the woods, hiking with her family, eating chocolate, and travelling.
