Pesto Pasta with Sausage

Ingredients

  • ¼ lb. sausage removed from casings
  • 1 red pepper cut into 2” pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced thick
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 8 oz. bow tie pasta (or pasta of your choice)
  • ¼ Mixed Herb Pesto (see our recipe and video on this)
  • ½ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Sprinkle of salt & pepper

Preparation Steps

  1. Place 3 quarts water in stockpot, add 1 Tablespoon salt if desired, bring to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Brown sausage in skillet with 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil over medium heat. Add peppers, onions & garlic then saute 8 minutes on medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian Seasoning (or seasonings of your choice).
  3. Add cooked pasta and pesto to the skillet.
